One run was the difference at the ballpark as the Dublin Pubcrawlers came in
to the game in quite a tailspin, but they were able to snap their 5 game
slide and defeated the Langley Farm Team 4 to 3.
Bartolo Colon(8-13) pitched a fine game. He was reached for 11 hits and no
walks in 8 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 2 'long-bombs'. Langley
threatened in the 9th but Dublin was able to put down the rally.
John Smoltz recorded his 24th save. Kenny Rogers(5-6) absorbed the loss. He
got hit hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
With this win, Dublin has a 57-76 record. They have been 4-6 lately. Scott
Whitley was pretty down after the loss. 'We've really been sputtering along
lately, something like 2-8 in the last week or two. That won't get it done.'
